About the components

Engine Shed is made up of a number of ‘components’ which together deliver on our mission.

The primary components are listed below and will change over time as the ‘cocktail’ of activities we require to stimulate growth change. Gluing these together are the secondary components: the Business Lounge, the Boardroom Suite, events and projects.

Together these components will allow Engine Shed to create jobs, inspire and inform the local population and allow potential inward investors to experience the depth and breadth of innovation, capability and opportunity that exists in the region.

Invest in Bristol and Bath is the region’s inward investment agency. Supporting foreign direct investment, UK national companies and those companies already here as they grow and expand.

We aim to secure investment by working collaboratively with investors; helping them access opportunities, understand the market and make the right connections. We are supported by both private and public sectors, for that reason we are well connected, well informed and confident. Our job is to make investors feel the same.
