ACH (formerly Ashley Community & Housing Ltd) is working with the Engine shed and Barton Hill Settlement to bring Bristol and Bath’s established business support ecosystem into under-represented communities.
The aim of the partnership is to strengthen new and existing businesses in the region. Connecting Engine Shed’s expertise, reputation, and business connections to the communities where ACH and Barton Hill Settlement have already developed a strong and trusted relationship with residents will support a more inclusive business environment for local companies and entrepreneurs.
We are recruiting an entrepreneurship facilitator to work with underrepresented community businesses to help them grow. You will need to have minimum 3 years and above of experience of working with businesses, a good knowledge of the business support environment in the West of England, and experience working with marginalised communities.
This is a challenging and exciting role which requires creativity, personal resilience, and well-developed interpersonal skills as well as a background in working with and advising businesses. We are looking for someone with both the passion and commitment to develop this pivotal role, someone who is used to independent working, and contributing to teams both within complex organisations and community groups.
You will have an agile mindset to spot opportunities, as well as solid project management skills from writing project proposals at inception through to delivery and project reporting at completion. You will enjoy networking and meeting people from all walks of life, from local communities to influential decision makers.
In submitting an application, you give us consent to share it with the interview panel which will include representatives from Engine Shed, West of England combined authority Barton Hill Settlement. Interviews are provisionally scheduled for 9th July (subject to change).
