Brunel's Boardroom

Engage your delegates in the original-thinking space of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. With original Victorian features and a separate lobby area for your refreshments, Brunel’s Boardroom provides a sumptuous setting for meetings, training and presentations.

Seats 20 boardroom style. Can be linked with Brunel’s breakout room. AV includes built in 3D-ready, 2,500 Lumens projector and HDMI & SVGA inputs projecting onto screen, and speakers with 1 lapel microphone.

Brunel's breakout room

Seating 10 boardroom style this space is full of original features including the large oak doors and marble fireplace and can be used for smaller meetings or adjoined to Brunel’s Boardroom to create one large space or as a breakout room for workshops. AV includes portable HD screen with SVGA and HDMI inputs.

Station Master's Office

The Station Master’s Office is a legacy of the world’s oldest railway station with its original marble fireplace – it provides an inspiring small meeting room. Seating 8 delegates in boardroom style and 10 for a presentation. Portable  2,500 Lumens projector and projection onto white wall.

Clock Tower Room

The Clock Tower Room is the old cash office from Brunel’s boardroom suite with some beautiful cornicing. Seating 18 in boardroom style, 30 in classroom style and 40 in theatre style. Wall mounted LED screen with HDMI and VGA cables and plenty of power sockets for training sessions or board meetings.

The Junction seminar space

Seating up to 82 theatre style in a mix of bleacher seats and chairs, this space is part of the original engine shed and has a contemporary finish with an industrial feel – great for business breakfasts through to early evening briefings. The space has its own catering and networking area, high ceilings and is curtained off from the Business Lounge. AV includes twin 55″screens with HDMI & SVGA inputs and a PA system with lectern microphone and two hand held microphones.

Business lounge

The lounge is available to hire from 6 pm during the week and at weekends and is a great space for networking events or drinks receptions as well as hackathons and innovation labs for up to 200 people. With a mix of fixed carriage-style innovation pods, bespoke high tables and low comfortable seating, the lounge is a flexible space offering opportunities for a variety of events.

During the day, the business lounge is a membership-only facility for academics, entrepreneurs and investors to meet 200 metres from the UK’s most connected transport hub.

Platform 14

Platform 14 is a great events and exhibition space available weekdays for product launches/testing with a great footfall of business people, after 6 pm during the week or at weekends for networking and awards or as an entranceway to Brunel’s Old Station . The lawn area provides a fun indoor space with a capacity for 50 standing. There’s a video wall for promo or holding slides and additional AV can be hired in to meet your requirements. Price dependent on event requirements.

Catering at Engine Shed

Our fantastic catering partner, Caffe Gusto, provide a real variety of options for your meetings and events here. Their menu will give you full details of what we can offer and we will book this on your behalf, alongside your room booking.

Our pricing has remained the same since opening in 2013. From 1 February 2017 there will be an increase of between -60% and 25% on our meeting room hire prices (this will not include the day rate on The Junction or evening hire of the Business Lounge) and removal of the half day rate to allow more flexibility with hourly bookings. These rates are included on our book a room page now. We will however be decreasing the price of our lovely catering menu.
