The West of England has a rich history of innovation – mostly driven, we suggest, by the rich diversity of the population and the industry sectors that we have, underpinned by a strong social and cultural fabric.
We believe that there is a role for us to play, given that assets and connections that we have, and the intelligence that we glean from that, in nurturing new areas of innovation.
We don’t expect to deliver any innovation (other than in the way we operate) but we do support, nurture and enable others to do so.
We have supported some projects, in different areas, such as
We are accumulating a pot of money within our Enterprise Fund, and we expect to initiate an open call for ideas to stimulate new areas of innovation, or innovation clusters, in the same vein as our ‘Diverse Workforce for the Future’ project did.
In the meantime, we will provide a special (50%) discount on hire of our venue space to networks related to innovation (people, technologies, sectors) and for new networks, or clusters, we can provide free space and support to help get them off the ground.
If you are running a network, about to get one off the ground then let us know.
If you want to sponsor a network, or single event, please let us know as we can connect you with one of the networks we know.
