As part of our Front of House team, you will be actively engaging with entrepreneurs, city and business leaders, innovators and academics who visit Engine Shed, the SETsquared Centre and other tenants, and help deliver on our priorities of inclusion, innovation and growth.
If you’re excited about the development of the city, skills for the future, jobs for our young people, business development and the economic development of the West of England, this could be the right job for you.
Engine Shed and SETsquared are operated by the University of Bristol and based at Brunel’s Old Station, Temple Meads, in the heart of the Enterprise Zone. We have created an internationally recognised hub for activities related to business incubation through SETsquared and inclusive economic development through Engine Shed.
We rent out meeting rooms, offices and event spaces and we look after over 250 business tenants, with over 30,000 visitors per year.
You will be host to our visitors, take room bookings, keep up the standards of our customer service and get involved in other activities and projects that we organise.
The standard pattern of work is Monday to Friday 1pm – 6pm working 5 hours per day. Ideally you will also have flexibility to cover holiday leave, and there may be opportunities for additional hours.
Engine Shed works to create and sustain a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities and relish fresh perspectives and are proud to have signed the Bristol Equality Charter.
Interviews for this role will be held at Engine Shed, Station Approach, Temple Meads, Bristol BS1 6QH on Thursday 10th January.
We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
